The early evening. Berlin, April 2024

I stroll through Berlin Mitte. The streets are not very busy, there is a quiet, low-noise atmosphere in the early evening.
A young man comes up the stairs from the subway to the street. As he walks, he reads the news on his smartphone.

He seems to me like a student, perhaps even a visiting student, who has just come home from his studies.

On my early evening night walk I met and chatted with some very nice young people. The camera I had with me probably made contact easier.
As a rule, these were young people who came to Berlin for different reasons and from very different countries and continents. One came to study, the others work here and some were visiting and simply want to explore foreign countries and cities.

I really like this internationality. Surrounded by nice people from different countries, I felt arrived, happy and at home.
Home for me is more of a feeling than a specific place.
