The birth
°
Even today, a happy birth is still a miracle because, despite medical advances, difficulties can still arise.
°
If mother and child do well after the birth, that is really a reason for joy.
°
The bond between mother and child will always be special – whatever it may be.
We only have one mother. This relationship is unique.
°
The mother presses the child to her cheek. The child seems very lively. His look is enterprising and curious.
°
Despite this currently intimate connection, he will go its own way.
°
Raphael painted this famous Madonna picture as a young painter in Florence. He died unexpectedly far too early in Rome at the age of just 37.
°
This beautiful painting was purchased from the House of Tempi in 1829 on behalf of Ludwig I, King of Bavaria, in Florence.
°
Today it is part of the Bavarian State Painting Collection and can be seen in the Alte Pinakothek in Munich.
°
This photo was taken during my pre-Christmas visit to this museum. My thoughts revolve around Christmas, birth, mother-child relationships, death, war and innocent victims.
