Strelitzia in the sun
°
I’ve often asked myself why I think Strelitzias are beautiful.
°
The flowers remind me of exotic birds or an insect with a dangerous stinger.
°
It was only through my research on this text that I found out that in English-speaking countries it is called Strelitzia reginae, crane flower or bird of paradise.
These associations, which are aroused when looking at this flower, seem to reinforce the impression of its beauty.
°
The combination of colors, the type and shape, and the graceful curves of the petals and other components of the flower probably account for its appeal.
°
I discovered this beauty in a planter in front of a house wall in Nice when I strolled to the famous Promenade des Anglais.
°
I wish you all a relaxing weekend! Next Saturday I’ll be in touch again with a new series and I’m always looking forward to your visit!
