Reflections of an exhibition

Reflections of an exhibition

The exhibition “Moroni (1521-1580) A Portrait of His Time” (December 6, 2023 – April 1, 2024) at the Galleria d’Italia, Milan was a very great experience for me.
°
The Gallerie d’Italia – Milan is a modern and contemporary museum in Milan on Piazza della Scala.
The museum is housed in three buildings: the Palazzo Brentani and the Palazzo Anguissola and the Palazzo della Banca Commerciale Italiana, which was added in October 2012.
°
The Moroni exhibition was in the part of the building where the bank used to be.
The room with the safe is located in the basement where visitors can leave their cloakroom.
°
Up in the hall, with a bit of imagination, you can imagine the hustle and bustle in a counter hall of a large bank. The individual customer counters can also be seen.
°
One of these surviving wall designs reflects a portrait of Pope Julius III (1550 – 1555), who was also a contemporary of Moroni.
°
I can also be seen as a shadow in the picture.
