Days by the sea. Adriatic Sea, September 2024
°
There was a thunderstorm last night and it was raining heavily.
°
The rain cleared the air.
Today it has become warm again, but the sea is still restless.
The heat of summer is slowly dissipating.
°
These days I’m really enjoying the sweetness of doing nothing, or as it melodiously says in Italian: “il dolce far niente”.
°
A few days by the sea, as always at this time of year, in this place, in the same hotel and (hopefully) the same staff as last year.
°
A lot of things are familiar to me now – the rooms, the food, the (short) routes and some of the faces.
°
These days I’m enjoying confining my life to this small area between the hotel and the beach.
°
I have reduced my professional activities to an absolute minimum.
°
As for photography: I only take a few photos – mostly just on the beach.
Word has now gotten around that I take photographs.
°
Today I’m going to the beach with Nicholas to take some photos of him. He works here and I knew him since last year, but I haven’t taken any photos of him yet.
He is an ambitious young man who has big plans and is about to conquer the world. I wish him good luck again!
